The Opportunity
The Evergreen School seeks applicants to support our after-school child care program for preschool to 8th grade students.  

Working hours
: Monday to Friday, from 2:30-6:00 p.m.   Because the position is part-time and less than 25 hours per week, this is a .4375 FTE role.

Wage rate
: The wage is $23.75 per hour. This is an hourly, non-exempt position and Extended Day Childcare Providers are required to keep and submit a timesheet. Wages are paid monthly on the last banking day of each month.

Benefits: Because the position is part-time and less than 25 hours per week, with the exception of WA State Paid Sick Leave, this position is not eligible for benefits. WA State Paid Sick Leave accrues at a rate of 1 hour for every 40 hours worked beginning on the first work day.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Playing with and supervising children safely
  • Leading activity projects
  • Preparing healthy snacks 
  • Monitoring recess
  • Communicating with parents/guardians
  • Working closely with a team of extended day providers
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience, Education and Desirable Skills
Applicants must have experience working with school-age children and knowledge of child development.

Physical Requirements
Applicants may be required to work outside in the weather, escorting children and supervising on the playground. The position requires applicants to walk, jump, lift up to 20 pounds, climb stairs, bend and squat.
