FAQ
Can my children sign up even if they do not attend The Evergreen School?
Absolutely! The Summer Program is open to the community.
Is there a waitlist? The class my child wants is full.
Yes! We encourage you to join the waitlist for any class. Simply sign up through our registration system; you will be able to see which classes are full and which have space remaining. When you register for a waitlisted class, you will not be charged until you are officially offered and have accepted a place in the class (via email or phone).
Are all classes and camps one week long?
Mostly. An annual exception is our summer musical theater performance class, which is two consecutive weeks, concluding with a theater production.
What's the deal with "2-in-1 Summer Fun" classes?
These classes are a package deal! Students are automatically registered for both, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. They'll have a supervised lunchtime in the between.
Is "day camp" different from all the other camps?
Available every week children for children entering K-5th grades, classic "day camp" is one option among the many that we offer. There's a different theme every week, and in addition to arts, crafts, and games, students will go swimming, have fun off-campus adventures, and enjoy an abundance of outdoor activities. Day camp is separated into a kindergarten group, a 1st-2nd grade group, and a 3rd-5th group, and all activities are adapted for each age group.
What is the cancellation/refund policy? Can I transfer from one class or camp to another?
Cancellation and Transfer Policy:
There are no refunds, except in the unusual case that The Evergreen School cancels a class/camp (due to lack of enrollment, for example).Transfers: You may request a transfer into a different class or a different week of the Evergreen Summer Program, space permitting. The request should be made at least two business days before the class or camp begins. To inquire about space availability/transferring, please email the Summer Program at [email protected]. (No refunds will be given on transfers, and any balances must be paid in full at the time of the transfer.)
Regarding cancellations and refunds, please see the 2024 full policy HERE.
What are the times for classes and camps?
Classes: Times vary. Specific times are in each individual class description. Most classes begin at 9:00 a.m., and many continue to 4:00 p.m., but some end earlier. There are also some half-day classes, either morning or afternoon only.
Preschool/Prekindergarten program and weekly "day camp" hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Is there extended care?
Currently, we do not offer care outside of the hours listed for each camp.
Do students stay for lunch if they have a morning class and an afternoon class?
Yes. If you enroll your child in both a morning (9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.) and an afternoon (1:00-4:00 p.m.) class, they will be supervised all day; no need to pick up during the intervening lunch hour. Just make sure to send a packed lunch!
Where do I drop off and pick up my child?
