Our Curriculum

We carefully balance forward progress with enriching iteration, essential milestones with spontaneous digressions, and productive collaboration with independent work—creating a complete learning arc as profound as it is varied.

The four sections of an Evergreen education (Early Childhood, Elementary, Intermediate and Middle School) independently yet interconnectedly feed and fuel the Evergreen experience. Whether wading through wetlands in our preschool program or building a  rocket in 8th grade, students live our common commitment to exploration, innovation, and connection at every level.

The methods and processes of our approach support and sustain students across these sections. Key Competencies buoy Evergreen as a whole, lending common values that guide each grade level.

Students and teachers channel Evergreen’s educational values into all that they do, creating confluences and convergences between and across sections. Because we recognize that students learn in many ways, our teachers differentiate instruction to support each student’s particular strengths and passions. Setting goals, reflecting on successes and setbacks, and revising and improving upon previous outcomes allow students to build the confidence and creativity needed to take on, tackle, and transform challenges.

Our teachers use a variety of instructional strategies to engage each student and improve the learning outcomes for all.
