Benefits for 1.0 FTE Employees
Benefits are effective on the first of the month following the employee’s date of hire. If an employee begins on the first of the month, the employee is immediately eligible to enroll with no waiting period.
Employees can enroll their IRS-defined dependents at the employee’s expense via a pre-tax payroll deduction.
Full-time positions are eligible for the following benefits:
- School-paid Kaiser medical insurance that includes vision coverage with a choice of four plans: PPO, PPO HSA, HMO, or HMO HSA
- School-paid MetLife dental insurance
- Supplemental VSP plan that is employee-paid
- School-paid Long-Term Disability and Life, Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance plus an Employee Assistance Program, all from Mutual of Omaha
- 403(b) Retirement Plan serviced by TIAA, with a School match of up to 7% with immediate 100% vesting schedule and no enrollment waiting period
- Flexible Savings Account (FSA) through Navia and/or Health Savings Account (HSA) through HealthEquity. For all employees who choose an HSA, the School contributes $125 per month.
- Commuter Assistance with an Orca card. The School matches up to $45 each month towards employees’ costs of commuting to and from work using public transportation.
- Tuition Remission: Evergreen offers a 40% tuition reduction for employees’ children who are enrolled in Evergreen in prekindergarten through 8th grade for the full academic year. Families must apply via the School’s admission process.
- Infant/toddler program is available on campus for a reduced rate for employees’ children ages 3 months through 3 years. Space limitations apply. The rate reduction is dependent upon the number of days of care per week, along with a rate reduction for siblings also attending the Seedling program.
- 1.0 FTE Full-time 12-month employees have 12 paid holidays
- 1.0 FTE Full-time 12-month employees accrue vacation leave at a rate of 13.33 hours per work month plus 8 hours of sick leave accrued each month and 24 hours of personal leave awarded at the beginning of their work year that begins July 1.
